509: How the Body Stores Trauma, Stress, and Emotional Blocks | Harmony Slater
LISTEN TO THE EPISODE
Episode Summary
In this episode, I’m joined by Harmony Slater for a soulful conversation about the body, the breath, energetic healing, and the hidden patterns that can keep us disconnected from who we really are.
Harmony shares her journey through yoga, mysticism, energy work, and healing from autoimmune symptoms and chronic fatigue. We talk about how the body holds emotional experiences, how unconscious beliefs can shape our lives, and how breath, awareness, and nervous system support can help us come back into deeper alignment.
Key Takeaways
The body can hold emotional pain, stress, trauma, and unconscious patterns over time
Healing often begins when we slow down and listen to what the body is trying to tell us
Breathwork, yoga, and energetic healing can help support emotional release and regulation
Old experiences can create hidden patterns that still affect how we live and relate today
Spiritual practice can become another form of control when we are driven by fear or avoidance
Nature and breath can be simple, powerful tools for grounding and reconnecting with ourselves
Coming back into wholeness means reconnecting with the body, the heart, and inner awareness
Emotional Blocks
Emotional blocks are unresolved feelings, beliefs, or experiences that can become stored in the body and nervous system over time. They may show up as tension, fatigue, anxiety, disconnection, repeated relationship patterns, or a sense of feeling stuck. Often, these blocks are connected to old wounds or unconscious beliefs that were formed as a way to protect us. Healing emotional blocks does not always mean forcing ourselves to figure everything out with the mind. It often begins by slowing down, listening to the body, creating safety in the nervous system, and allowing emotions to move through with compassion and awareness.
