As a former executive and a person at the intersection of multiple identities, I know all too well the things that women, people of color, LGBTQ+ people and others have experienced at work and in their lives. As a woman of multiple identities, I was able to obtain executive roles in wonderful organizations. These organizations were filled with humans that – as all humans do – had unconscious biases and sometimes committed microaggressions, insults and insensitive or hurtful acts. Navigating these situations and dealing with the internalized issues that arose from systemic inequities were skills that I developed by leveraging the tools and methods of The Adult Chair®. I want to share that sense of freedom with you.
